 Ginkgo Bioworks announced three sustainability-focused partnerships:

1. The European Innovation Council’s (EIC) Pathfinder Challenge program is awarding funding to FGen AG, a Ginkgo subsidiary,  to develop a sustainable, alternative approach to milk production using only CO2 and electricity.

2. The Department of Energy is awarding Ginkgo funding to develop algal crop protection solutions to drive clean energy solutions such as sustainable aviation fuel.

3. Ginkgo is partnering with Greenlab to help develop a product that will degrade PFAS, often called “forever chemicals,” a significant health and environmental concern.
