• Sensible Biotechnologies and Ginkgo Bioworks Announce Partnership To Make In Vivo RNA to Unlock the Promise of RNA Therapeutics. Coaxing cells to produce mRNA for therapeutic applications has been an unsuccessful endeavor so far. Miroslav Gasparek is on a mission to use synbio to change that. His company Sensible Biotechnologies is partnering with Ginkgo Bioworks to develop the next generation of mRNA therapeutics. He will be speaking more about it at this year’s SynBioBeta Conference in Oakland.

• Generative AI drug creation company Absci announces its latest partnership that will accelerate the creation of medicines for a range of cancers and patient profiles, moving the industry closer to the promise of personalized medicine.

• Cemvita, a company engineering microbes that can decarbonize the most intensive industrial processes, announced the promotion of co-founder Tara Karimi to Chief Science Officer, while appointing Liz Dennett, PhD, as the new Chief Technology Officer.

• Solvay Announces Strategic Collaboration With Ginkgo Bioworks. This alliance will start by focusing on new sustainable biopolymers, and Solvay will also acquire a Ginkgo (formerly Zymergen) laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 

• Cambrium Launches NovaColl™: First Micro-Molecular & Skin-Identical Collagen Ingredient for Personal Care Industry. Biotechnology company Cambrium has launched its first product: NovaColl™. It is the first micro-molecular & 100% skin-identical collagen specifically designed for premium personal care formulations.

• Telesis Bio Releases BioXp® Select Kits to Enable DNA Amplification and Scale-up. Telesis Bio announced continued expansion of the BioXp® Select Kit product line, releasing two novel kits to enable DNA amplification and scale-up.

• FabricNano and Sumitomo Chemical America partner to develop the next generation of cell-free bio-manufacturing. FabricNano’s cell-free approach is unique because of its applicability across industries as well as its ability to build upon protein engineering technologies efficiently while keeping process development costs as low as possible.
