• C16 Biosciences has built a palm oil farm in midtown Manhattan to stop global deforestation. What's the biggest threat to rainforests? Palm oil. It's found in everything from shampoo to baby formula. C16 Bio is working to replace this ubiquitous ingredient with an alternative made using precision fermentation.
