A brighter future… built with biology
Hi ,

This week we  bring you an important announcement from our Editorial Team, a celebration of Ginkgo’s record SPAC, and a sneak preview of our Race Against the Clock Pitstop #1 with Kat Mañalac of Y Combinator and Jay Eum of GFT Ventures.

Across the Pond We Go!

Dear Readers,

It has been an honor to share stories from our industry with you each week.

I’ve just moved to London to take on the role of Director, International Outreach at SynBioBeta. The bioeconomy is booming and it’s critical that we grow with it. So, my UK/ EU/ Middle East/ Africa/ and Asia friends, please reach out and let me know how I can help! And my US friends, I’ll still be writing for the Digest, so I’m not going far :)

It’s now my pleasure to introduce SynBioBeta’s new Editor In Chief, Larry Upton. Larry will lead SynBioBeta’s new editorial chapter, modernize our Digest, quantify our industry, and help tell the stories of our future Built with Biology. Larry, my friend, over to you!

-Fiona Mischel

A Work in Progress
Greetings!

As SynBioBeta’s new Editor in Chief, I am excited to take on the challenge of enhancing our overall messaging, polishing up our content marketing efforts, and most importantly, listening closely to what you as our readers want to see more of in the way of newsworthy content.

Going forward, you’ll see some marked improvement in our weekly Digest, as our goal is to better highlight people, companies, and the institutions using biology to make the planet a better place. Please bear with us, as this “work in progress” will take time. In the meantime, I’ll be reaching out to speak with you as partners to better understand your pain-points, be those awareness, funding, talent acquisition, or networking.

Please let me know how we can best serve you going forward… and know that we greatly appreciate your support.

Larry Upton
Editor in Chief
