A brighter future… built with biology
Hi ,

This week, we want to acknowledge the hard work of the biology community in addressing climate change, share innovation through OpenCell on Twitter Spaces, get excited about digitizing biology and much more!

Thank you to this week’s sponsor, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), who partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. Check out BCG's article on Fortune on why they believe companies in every industry in the world have no choice but to come to grips with synthetic biology  right away.

Biology Offers Hope Following Dire Climate Report

On Monday, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a bleak report on the causes and escalating consequences of climate change. But it was not without hope. We still have time to avert the worst climate disasters by acting decisively and acting now.

Climate change is fueled by crude and outdated technology. But we are also fortunate to live in the time of  AI, CRISPR, microbial engineering, and biological design. Without these tools, we would be unable to fertilize crops with microbes, recycle carbon into food, make leather without cows, and produce chemicals with enzymes. These solutions could not have come to life without all of you so thank you for offering hope in a time of darkness. We have a long road ahead but we are honored to be walking it with you.
